For example, you may want to install drivers for Vista 32-bit: Yes, that is correct. I checked the contents of that file and since there is no setup.exe that means:
1) extract the zip file to your computer 2) turn off computer 3) install PCI card 4) turn on computer 5) when windows detects your pci card, you tell it you have the drivers 6) browse to the \UART_Driver_v6.05\UART_Driver_v6.5.1.5\Windows_Vista-32 directory and the driver will install

Does this HP DC195A Serial & Parallel PCI card only work in Vista x64 unless you disable signed driver enforcement? With SP1 you can only disable that on a per boot basis. Also http://tinyurl.com/18r doesn't seem to work for me... Thanks, Rick

Rick, I do not have the details on the Vista x64 driver installation process. The Oxford Semiconductor link includes the correct zip file for Vista x64 installation.

I'm having problems with the Parallel port. I can not get my equipment that is hooked up to it to read it as an ECP parallel port. Do you have any other drivers that I can access to try and install to to get this issue resolved? I have tried visiting the http://tinyurl.com/18r but the page will not open. By the way the Serial port is working perfectly!

We include custom burned CD drivers that include Vista drivers with the card. The most common issue with ECP is the IRQ number is conflicting with another number. Easiest way to test for conflicts is to downgrade your parallel to SPP.
We charge a little more for this card because this is a higher quality card (Oxford chipset) and drivers are currently available for Vista. This is not the case for most parallel & serial PCI cards available on the market!
Oxford Semiconductor is known for their high quality, high reliability, and high compatibility products.
